The spring has seen brisk warblers flying above the flourishing grasses, whilst willow trees beside the river extend a warm welcome to all. The 4th International Forum of Leading Schools came to a successful end in the exquisite old city of Xi’an where an atmosphere of excitement and happiness abounds.
More than 200 famous heads from middle schools, high schools and educational institutions from around the world attended the forum to discuss the topic of “How to Better Prepare Students for Global Higher Education”. During this time, the aim of the forum was to encourage more active participation and interaction through the use of group discussions and debate. The heads and professionals presented interesting and informative speeches on a variety of topics. These themes provided an excellent opportunity for all participants to learn from each other whilst sharing their individual educational ideologies and experiences. The on-the-spot discussion and dialogue gave an excellent example of these heads and professionals innovative ideas regarding education reform and school development. In addition, the match making provided a bridge for direct communication between Chinese and foreign heads. The Royal High School, Bath and the University School of America have both made a friendly agreement with the high school affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University. CHEER Foundation has signed a co-operative frame agreement with the educational bureau of Foshan and CIE respectively.
It is a credit to our reputation that this forum has become a stage for discussion, communication, sharing and learning however this would not be possible without the advice and opinions of our participants and colleagues. We will continue to strive to make the forum bigger and better!
Lastly, our sincere thanks to all friends who have supported and participated in this forum. We hope this forum leaves you fond memories and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
